April & May 2017 (Eventful Months)

The last two months were filled with few events and functions over the weekend that mommy has not able to write the blog for both of my princesses.

In the month of April, we travelled to PD with the Taska family. Although both girls spent a lot of time with their Taska's friends, this trip was really excited for them as that was their first overnight trip with their friends. The trip filled with many activities from visiting the Ostrich Farm, Dinosaur Forest, swimming and beach side telematches as well as BBQ "makan-makan". The children enjoyed themselves so much, lots of laughter and mommy & papa was busy dressed as well as changing the kids into their swim wear many times. And most importantly, mommy and papa was busy ensuring all the kids are safe and are monitored at all time. The trip was a good one indeed and with the little effort that mommy and papa and the taska have put in can make the girls and everyone happy; it is so worth it.

The month of May also a busy month for our family as the Mother's Day celebration and our yearly family trip. This year Mother's Day cards were all very special, I have received messages that make me teared and also a handmade card from both of them during the school's Mother's Day celebration. The hugs and kisses from both of my princesses are priceless.

Dear Annabelle and Abigail, thank you so much for loving mommy so dearly. Annabelle as you stated in the message paper, mommy has switched to a job that gives me more stable work time so that mommy can spend time with you both and "yes, mommy will come home early". Note to myself: This is not a sacrifice for them, it is done so that I do not missed the precious moments of their growing up.

The month of May ended with the family trip to Penang. This trip has seen both of you girls different in the way you are, both of you are much obedient in following through the trip, no fuss made. Mommy and papa are proud of that. You both volunteer to sit at the children's table, you are able to handle your meals, you want to swim in the adult pool instead of kid's, you like to join your korkor jiejie in yiyi's car, you both like to buy some souvenir for your cousin and many more moments that significantly indicate that you both have grown up.

People said, when we travel; we can see and teach our children more thing and to see how they behaved. It is some truth to it. We will pray that hope that we will have more chance to do it again. :)

Oh..my girls.. you are growing too fast.

The conscious of writing the blog is there, but lately I really do not have time to update anything. My blog written was idle for a good 4 months (bad..!!! :( ) My photobook making too was KIV... what is really happening to this mummy?!

This is already the 3rd month of 2017; many special moments have passed but yet to pen down.

Abigail has started her pre-school on her actual date of her 4th year old birthday. She was excited to school and she is doing very well. Learning has taken place and she began to love coloring, she is able to write and pronounce words properly. She started playing "teacher-teacher" at home too. Papa and mummy do not need to worry much about her as she will pick up the book and trace and draw.

She is slightly different from Annabelle, I remembered when I asked Annabelle 2 years ago "How was school?" she will said OK. Abigail will have her "cerita" and we will need to listen, but cannot laugh even it was really funny at time. We remembered the first conversation I asked her after one week of school.

Mummy:"How are your friends?"
Abigail: "I give XXX (~her friend's name) zero!"
Mummy:"Why?"
Abigail:"Because he is naughty!"

(After hearing this, papa & mummy & even jie jie wanted to laugh; but we hold our laughter as she said, "don't laugh!")

Abigail is clearly more expressive, love to share more than her sister. Her sister on the other hand will ask me this: "Ohhh... mummy how come Abigail knows how to read A, B, C, and count properly now?".. my answer to them both is "you are growing and learning well...ma.."

Proud papa bringing them both to school

Focusing while she writes

Some art and craft at school
After CNY this year, we have decided to give ear piercing to Abigail. We got her permission and brought her to the shop. This time round, we brought her to a Chinese Goldsmith shop instead of the Indian's; the process was smooth although at the end of it; she cried so loud and complaint to me that the ladies in the shop "clip" her ears.

Ears piercing

See the blink blink on her ear.

Papa and mummy were proud and happy with our girls. They are growing way too fast that you can see they look into the mirror more often, choosing their own dress, wanted to put some light make-up and lipsticks and would love to take selfie whenever they have chance.

See how lovely they looked.

Oh... see Abigail, so shy shy.. .lady like ya!

Forever mummy girl

A simple we-fie, after mummy finished work at Education Fair

How about Annabelle? She is doing well too. She was really happy when her first milk teeth fall off and she told me "Take picture, mummy and I want to send it to Sister Angeline (who is in UK))". Her tooth-fairy (you will definitely able to guess who? :)) has slot in some cash to redeem her tooth that she put under the pillow ya...
Proud moment, gigi sudah jatuh!

Her legs are long, cannot use this toy car anymore

Both enjoying some craft

Annabelle's excitement to school is as good as last year. This year she is able to make comparison by saying which teacher is stricter and who is the weekly class monitor in class. She is acting a very good role in school in taking care of the sister. Last month, I went to her school; I was surprise they both have common friends, where Annabelle knows her sister's friend pretty well too. Mummy is very please to know that.

Evening cycling was long awaited by them,

A promise to the playground

One is brave and climb all the way to the top, another one bravely cross the "bridge"~ sign of growing up

See her colouring, simple lovely
Annabelle has some art & craft done (in joint effort with papa)

Jie Jie's work is more intensive for preparation for school

Moving forward, mummy's blog cannot be piled up as such anymore, mummy need to find time... must find time to record these moments. Even though this is only a gap of 3 months I didn't blog about us as family or as they grow, I am actually depending on the date of the photos in my camera/ hand phone to recall these moments.. I can't imagine the gap is even longer.

Just a point of reference to papa, my girls and I, "As much as both of you wants to spend more time with papa mummy, papa mummy will love to do the same... We pray that we will get something adjusted in the coming months for a better tomorrow."

Drama/ Play for Tadika's Concert - Jack and the Beanstalk

On the 19th Nov 2016 is the concert for Annabelle's school.

This year, Annabelle's school has announced the theme "Fairy Tales Come Alive". So the week after her examination, teacher has started practices speech (conversation) for their class's play on the concert day. She came home with a small slip of paper with dialogues of conversation. I got to know that she is the mother to Jack in the story.

Often enough, every evening when we reach home; I will spare some time to practice with her. But we weren't that discipline and of course some of the days, we missed it. As the days draw closer to the concert actual day, Annabelle has seen to be more worried. She has expressed that her fear and also if she can do it properly. I told her "Yes, you can!" whenever she asked me this.

3 days before the concert, she told me; "Mummy, teacher say I must speak a little louder and cannot be shy else the audience will be bored with the story." I replied to her, "Annabelle, of course you can speak louder and also you will need to ensure someone special in the audience can hear you." I asked her, you know who is there amongst the audience? She guessed few names.. lastly I told her. "Jesus" will be there. He is there because Jesus knows that you had practice so hard and put in lots of effort to ensure he can hears. I told her, you cannot speak to the floor and keep looking down; because Jesus is sitting at the audience seats, so speak out loud and clear. Jesus will listen carefully to the story and he will clap for you.

On the actual day of the concert, she got up very early; she bath and get herself ready. She went to the altar and she prayed for a good day and she will speak out and know how to speak in her concert.

All right here is just part of the video, I can't upload the whole video here. I had part of it to share with you.

The drama went on very well. Everyone in her class did so well. She has become more confident, she was seen enjoying herself in this play. I am glad and thankful to the teacher and principal of the Tadika for giving her this opportunity.

"Annabelle, Papa and Mummy are very proud of you. Thank you for even teaching your mei mei (Abigail) as she can now memorise some part of the speech as she was made the Jack in our own practice."
"Now Abigail too is very happy learning up the fairy tales songs and drama line of conversation. Bravo!"

"Jesus, I have to use your name to encourage Annabelle. Thank you Jesus"

Cutting Hair Episodes

If I recall correctly, I have never once trim my children's hair as both the girls grown up visiting this one shop (yes ONE) that is located in Aman Suria.

The question is why so far? Why waste money? Why not Do It Yourself for her?

We travel 20 odd kilometres away to this saloon. The girls will say: " go kor kor shop cut hair...". Abigail will says: "I don't want jie jie's shop." We are more than willing to do so as we tried 3 saloon in Klang but papa were not satisfy with the hair styles that stylist has done on his princesses' hair.

This saloon has "teman" the girls in their growing up journey. The owner of the shop will be able to comment things like :"Wah, jie jie so tall d." ... "Mei Mei's hair is a little thicker than those days"... They have bond with the kor kor so much that they enjoyed going there. The kor kor is straight in his approach and ensure the girl listen to his instructions. "Look down..." "Mei Mei, don't move!"... and etc.

Last Sunday, we visited once again to trim their hair. This time round, is different. Not because change of owner nor they had just renovated the place, it is the feeling of us seeing the girls seated on the high hair, look into the mirror while listening to what they were told to do (Annabelle occasionally will look at the mirror and give us a shy face smile on her face.).

While waiting for them, we recalled that we used to prepare sweets, ensure extra pair of clothing available, prepare gadget "thing" to divert the girls' attention so that the stylist could complete the tasks. I remembered once, I had to carry Abigail on my shoulder as she was asleep while having her hair trim; the hair covered me as if I am having my hair cut!

"Annabelle and Abigail, if you are reading this many years later; you need to know Papa and Mummy are willing to do everything for you both, so as to ensure you both are comfortable when having hair cut"

Although hair cut is a minor process, as we recall and reflect; this is the place where memories are collected besides home, school, park, daycare, grandparents home, church and etc.

Moving into last quarter of the Year - (Aug 2016's Blog)

Lately, I was so occupied with work and working over the weekend; I noticed that I am caution when I know it is approaching month end and I have not pen down the memories for the month. I did this today as I can find few minutes after work on the Friday night.

For the month of August 2016, it is a month of birthday. It is Annabelle 5th Birthday and my birthday. My dear daughter was very excited and had informed that mummy what kind of cake she intend to have. This year the celebration was done only in her tadika on the 4th Aug, and we brought her to few places that she had said she would like to visit during her birthday.

Morning: Birthday Celebration at her school.

Happy Birthday to you, Annabelle.

Both sister were so excited

Afternoon: The after fever of "Finding Dory" prompted her curiosity about underwater world. So, explains the visit to Aquaria. It was a great experience that the children get to touch and see different types of sea creatures.
"Come on, let me touch and feel you..."

"where is the the otter?"

Whose teeth are sharper

Big octopus don't catch us

Nice family day out today

Thank you papa & mummy for this day

Evening: Many months ago, we told her about the restaurant that she nearly got lost when she was about 2 years old. Today, we return to this restaurant. "Annabelle, mummy still have phobia in this restaurant even after years, so please don't give me this heart attack again :)"

So happy to see them happy
All right, the birthday celebration has come to an end. We asked her in the night before bed: "Are you happy today?" "Yes" she replied. On the other of the bed, the sister Abigail said: "Mummy, you never arrange birthday for me?" I laugh and say "of course I had and I will, but will be in next year January." Papa followed by saying: "Not everyone's birthday is your birthday, ma..." Abigail made funny faces and turn around and pretend to sleep...

So, once again; we both feel that we are so blessed to have 2 lovely daughters. They have grown up to decide where and what they like to do for their birthday. Now, as parents; we will do what we can within our means and we hope that our small do that we had for them will make a memorable birthday for them.

Message to my girls:
"Papa mummy are so happy to see you both happy..."

Month of July 2016 Happenings

The month of July 2016 has just passed so quickly before I can pen down anything for our blog, it is okay. Let's me just rewind and recall what are the happenings then.

07-07-16: Papa & Mummy Anniversary (a day that is much more important than a wedding anniversary) as this marked papa and mummy have got together 11 years. We got a surprise celebration given by our close friend, Adam and Melinda. Today is also Melinda's birthday, so it is a double celebration. This is the first time, Annabelle and Abigail singing karaoke in the club. :) We thank Adam and Melinda for inviting us for this celebration. The night went on well with everyone has decent amount of drink and the feeling of "it has a long time since we "karoking".." A big thank you to Adam and Linda :)

Fast forward to 23-07-2016. Today is our late "thata" death anniversary. Papa and mummy have decided to bring the girls to visit him for the first time in the cemetery. Annabelle told me that she wants to buy pink colour flower for her thata and she has chosen it at the stall. At the cemetery, Annabelle said "Mummy, I am a hard worker today as I spread the flower petals for thata and grand auntie ..." Indeed, today she and her sister really pay their respect by ways of prayer, she lead the Our Father Prayer for all the 6 graves and my tears just drop the moment I heard the prayer started. She has grown so much that she could say her prayers.

To my late father in law and their thata in Heaven, please watch over us and keep our children safe at all time; we will miss you although I didn't get to call you "Papa" and I'm sure the children will be running around you calling "thata... thata,..". God loves you more and rest in peace. You are dearly missed.
