Annabelle down with flu

Aiya... yesterday Annabelle is down with flu. Very early in the morning, I had to take emergency leave as I need to bring her to see the paede due to her difficulty in breathing properly. Actually over the long weekend, she was a little fussy and cranky especially when she wants to sleep. We were wondering if it is because she was in new house and it is a slightly new environment for her, thus she feels uneasy. But then, we taught that she has been to new house many times and then Ivan told on Sunday night that he suspected that she is not feeling well, true enough that Monday night; the flu started. That evening, after the visit to Gombak seeing Komathy's parents, we are back to Klang; she was crying so much, really kesian with big big drop of tears rolled down her cheeks. That night, she couldn't sleep well; waking up many many times, wanting milk and tossing and turning. I had no choice to carry her and put her on my shoulder and pat her to sleep. My night was also sleepless too. But never mind, when seeing her nose block; I rather that I take the flu than her at least I know how to blow it out than a small 3mo baby. Today, I had to go back to work; morning sent her to baby daycare; hope she is okay then. I was very worried and had sms (which I don't normally do) Auntie Seleen to check on her. Thank God that Auntie Seleen said that she was fine, listening to Amma and doing fine. I guess the day time is fine till the night comes, she will get the nostril block. Hope today is better! Gosh, I need to mention this, she needs to drink 2.5ml of flu medicine; isn't it a little too much for a baby. But according to Dr.Ravi, the flu will retains for few days, with the medicine and her antibody, let her body is able to fight the virus... I really pray she is fine soon... cannot see her like that.. heartache...

  1. Flu is a very common thing among kids.
And once it started to attack their body, it seems take forever to go!

So bear with her and be strong yeah!
Maybe you can ask for some nose drop from dr. It helps to ease her breathing.
And Vicks Baby Rub; apply lil on her nose, chest and back. And then some on both of her back feet, then covered with socks.
